Thankful Thursday

I try to be thankful for EVERYTHING I have on a daily basis, but sometimes its neat to see things written down. I'm sure I'll leave a few things out because my mind is a pile of mush lately...but here goes!

1. I am thankful that our audit is over at work, now we just await the results. It really racks my nerves when someone else (the state department of Medical Assistance in this case) is looking at our agency's documents. I'll be on pin's and needles until they come back with our results.

2. I am thankful that I have taken advantage of the free time David has had lately. We've made it a point to spend quality time together, not just sit in the same room and watch TV. Baseball season starts VERY soon and its going to be a big adjustment to our schedule.

3. I am thankful that God has allowed my Nannie's cancer to be caught early enough for a possible full recovery with only surgery and radiation. (After going through chemo with my F-I-L, I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Its a miracle medicine, but its so strong it almost kills you in order to kill the cancer. The effects chemo has on a person can be so horrible.)

4. I am thankful that I have had the will power to stick with my goals on changing my life style. I have been watching what I eat very closely and making sure not to over load on calories. I have been choosing healthier snacks and preparing healthier meals. I have also made a huge effort to do some form of exercise daily, even if its just a 15 minute brisk walk with my B-monster.

5. I am thankful that I also had the will power to stick to my budget so far this year. I have been able to fight the urge to spend money on things we don't need and because of this I was able to put more money into our savings last month!

6. I am thankful that David and I have been able to stick to our newly established routine of "daily cleaning." We began the new year with a new routine. We not only clean up the clutter in our house on a daily basis but we have also made a vow to do laundry as its needed, rather than spend the entire weekend doing piles of laundry.
