Photo Friday

I've been a little under the weather this week. Ive been moving locations with one of my offices at work. Working out of boxes without a working computer or phone on top of major allergies/sinus trouble has made for a very long week! I'm so glad to see the weekend come!

Here's my photo Friday - Some pictures to sum up what we've done this week.

Bronx has been super lazy this week. He has even "slept in" and waited until after we're ready for work to go outside! (I'm hoping this is a sign that he's starting to come out of that puppy stage. Ive been told that Labs are in that puppy stage for at least 2 years)

We had some awesome warm weather yesterday. It was still 86 degrees after 5pm! Bronx got one more good use out of his swimming pool before it was put up for the winter :(
He loves his pool, so he's none too happy about this! Good decision to take advantage yesterday because today we woke up to a high of 63!! Yikes!

Its so crazy, I sported a summer dress to work yesterday with sandals and with the 20+ degree change in temp I had to drag out the slacks and long sleeves today!

I had a nice cold beverage while Bronx (or "B" as we call him sometimes) was lounging in his pool!

Mr. Curious! Right before this shot he stuck his nose in my face & got my camera lens all wet! He LOVES to know whats going on, AT ALL TIMES!

And just to prove that he really thinks he's a human....here is the proof! Caught him in this chair watching the birds in the back yard earlier in the week!
Please excuse my half dead flowers behind him...I can kill a plant with skill, ask my Mother! :)

Bad attempt at a self portrait of Me and B....but we'll take what we can get.

And this is what a tired pup looks like...all the swimming and playing just wears him out.
We'll have to work on a winter hobby now that the pool has been retired for the season.

 Cheers!

Remembering 9/11

I can't believe that it has been 10 years ago.
I have so much to say about how I feel and how I felt that day but when I try to put it into words, it all jumbles up and makes no sense.
I guess my words, or lack there of, represent the senselessness we all felt that morning when thousands lost their lives and our country was kicked to the ground.
I saw many images on the net in regards to remembering 9/11/2001 and instead of continuing to try and put my own words together about my feelings I thought I would just display the ones that touched me. After all, a picture is worth a thousand words....

The Chase

"The Chase for 28" is on! 28 World Series Championships, that is! Y'all know I'm talking about my Yanks...who else?

I know that so many football fans are amped and ready to go for the upcoming season and I'm excited its that time of year too....but not because its time to break out the pig-skins. I'm excited for the most exciting part of baseball season...the post-season play offs!

Some may call it "sad" and others may call it "ridiculous" but we call it "Love" and that is all we have for this game and this team, pure love!
Hubs and I vacationed to NY when we were dating, just to watch the Yankees play.
Hubs proposed to me in NY at a Yankees game and had a "Congratulations" message displayed on the jumbo screen during the game.

We were even two clicks away from booking our honeymoon to NY. We backed out because we got married in October, and weren't sure there would be any play-off games for us to watch while we were there.

So we have some ties to NY (even though we probably would never go there if it weren't for the love of our team) and we feel its a part of us. So until "our" season is over, this family puts football on the back burner and cheer our team on all the way! Let's hear it for the Yankees & our chase to 28!! Whoo Hooo!

Cheers!
